ID cards now available for kids

TUCSON, Ariz. — Children aren’t getting behind the wheel of vehicle to drive anywhere, but the can still get an ID card from Motor Vehicle Division.

ADOT says it’s a valuable tool in case of an emergency.

It’s an added layer of protection to help prevent identity theft, and can be useful for anyone traveling outside the U.S.

ID cars cost $12 and are available at all MVD offices.

To get one you need to bring your child’s social security number, and a primary form of documentation, like a birth certificate.

You will need proof that you live in Arizona.
