LANSDALE, PA — A new project launched by a local nonprofit is aiming to help fight back against substance abuse in the local area, and a fundraiser for the project is being held in Lansdale.
The organization, Montgomery County Pennsylvania Recovery Organization – Achieving Community Together (PRO-ACT), supports programs and activities for those suffering from substance use disorder.
“Our goal is to meet individuals where they are in their recovery process,” said Per Hagen, Volunteer Coordinator at PRO-ACT. “Whether they are seeking employment assistance, credit repair or social connectedness; PRO-ACT has a program for that.”
A pancake breakfast fundraiser will be held at St. John’s Church in Lansdale on Saturday, Jan. 13 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Pancakes, home fries, sausage, eggs, coffee, and juice will be served. Tickets are $7 beforehand and $8 at the door.
PRO-ACT is run by the Council of Southeast Pennsylvania, a larger anti-drug abuse organization operating in the region.
