WENATCHEE — A Waterville man faces possible charges of identity theft and related counts for allegedly using stolen credit cards, including some tied to the accounts of Waterville’s fire protection district.
Jesse Devitt Tollackson, 25, was arrested Friday night after Wenatchee police received complaints of cards stolen from parked cars in Waterville being used at local Target and Safeway stores. About $700 in charges were made in the first two weeks of June alongside other unsuccessful attempts at purchases, police said.
One of the stolen cards was taken from an employee of Douglas County Fire District 4 for use in district purchases, and it was allegedly used for an estimated $300 in charges.
Security footage taken at the time of the transactions allegedly shows someone resembling Tollackson using stolen cards in multiple purchase attempts. Police are seeking charges of possession of stolen property, identity theft, attempted identity theft and third-degree theft.
