A woman who allegedly punched an NYPD cop was busted for identity theft in New Jersey.
Chelsea Colson, of New York, was nabbed on Monday after she tried to flee a Citibank branch in Paramus with $3,500 from the bank account of a Brooklyn resident, which she allegedly acquired using stolen identification, reported the Daily Voice.
The police received a call from Citibank about possible fraud in progress, the officers identified Colson as they arrived at the scene, she tried to flee but they arrested her for fraud and found a small bag of cocaine in her possession.
Colson, 29, was also arrested in August 2019 after trying to punch a police officer for refusing to fork over $19 for her taxi fare in Chelsea. She pleaded guilty for a misdemeanor charge and completed five days of community service.
For her most recent crime, Colson was charged with identity theft, possession of a fraudulent credit card, and theft by deception.
She was released on her own recognizance pending and is due back in court.
