Haverford Crime Blotter: Burglary, Identity Theft, DUI, More

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Haverford Township issued their weekly crime blotter Wednesday.

Incidents in the blotter occurred between Sept. 8 and Sept. 14.

The blotter also includes arrests made and citations issued.

  • Theft at the 2800 block of Saint Mary’s Road on Sept. 8 at 7:44 a.m. – Catalytic converter was stolen from two vehicles.
  • Theft at the 100 block of Ivy Rock Lane on Sept. 8 at 3:39 p.m. – Vehicle was entered – loose change was stolen.
  • Motor Vehicle Theft at U-Haul, unit block of East Township Line Road, on Sept. 8 at 9:38 a.m.
  • Identity Theft at Haverford Village, 700 block of Ardmore Avenue, on Sept. 8 at 12:23 p.m. – Victim reported that someone used her identity to file for unemployment benefits.
  • Criminal Mischief at the 100 block of West Eagle Road on Sept. 8 at 7:19 a.m. – Graffiti was reported.
  • Criminal Mischief at the 1200 block of Bon Air Avenue on Sept. 8 at 1:33 p.m. – A juvenile male was cited for damaging a storm door.
  • Identity Theft at the 2100 block of Oakmont Avenue on Sept. 9 at 11:09 a.m. – Victim reported that someone used his identity to make two withdraws from his bank account.
  • Identity Theft at the 600 block of Grand Avenue on Sept. 9 at 12:47 p.m. – Victim reported that someone used his identity to file for unemployment benefits.
  • Identity Theft at the 400 block of Achille Avenue on Sept. 9 at 2:43 p.m. – Victim reported that someone used his identity to file for unemployment benefits.
  • Vandalism at Naylors Run and Wales Road on Sept. 9 at 7:54 a.m. – Vehicle was keyed.
  • Burglary at the 1700 block of Josie Lane on Sept. 10 at 2:31 p.m. – On Sept. 6 at approximately 3 a.m. the victim observed an unknown subject on her enclosed porch. The subject immediately ran off. Nothing was reported missing.
  • Identity Theft at the 200 block of Oxford Hill Lane on Sept. 10 at 3:01 p.m. – Victim reported that someone used his identity to file for unemployment benefits.
  • Vandalism at the 2300 block of Kenilworth Road on Sept. 10 at 11:54 a.m. – A truck hit a fence causing damage to the fence and pole.
  • Criminal Mischief at the 400 block of Glendale Road on Sept. 12 at 2:05 p.m. – Both side view mirrors were broken on the victim’s vehicle.
  • Identity Theft at the 100 block of Tenby Road on Sept. 13 at 3:31 p.m. – Victim reported that someone used his identity to withdraw $16,000 from his bank account.
  • Criminal Mischief at the 300 block of Virginia Avenue on Sept. 13 at 6:20 a.m. – Residence was egged.
  • Vandalism at the 100 block of Harvard Road on Sept. 13 at 3:35 p.m. – Juveniles scratched several words on wet concrete.
  • Retail Theft at Lowe’s, 100 block of West Township Line Road, on Sept. 14 at 12:54 p.m. – An unknown male loaded a cart with $2,604 worth of merchandise and fled the store. Loss prevention officer stopped the subject outside of the store and recovered the merchandise. The subject fled the scene.
  • Retail Theft at Lowe’s, 100 block of West Township Line Road, on Sept. 14 at 2:35 p.m. – An unknown male retrieved a water heater from the plumbing department and proceeded to the customer service desk. He then performed a refund on the unpaid water heater using a receipt from another store.
  • Motor Vehicle Theft at U-Haul, unit block of Township Line Road, on Sept. 14 at 11:29 a.m.

ARRESTS

  • 49-year-old male, unit block of Spring Mill Lane, Haverford. Charges: Simple assault and harassment. Location: unit block of Spring Mill Lane. Date: Sept. 9 at 10:29 p.m.
  • 61-year-old male, 500 block of Homewood Avenue, Narberth. Charges: DUI and reckless driving. Location: Eagle Road and West Chester Pike. Date: Sept. 12 at 11:01 p.m.
  • 21-year-old male, 400 block of Glendale Road, Havertown. Charges: Simple assault and harassment. Location: 400 block of Glendale Road. Date: Sept. 12 at 11:16 a.m.
  • 28–year-old male, 1600 block of New Jersey Avenue, New Castle, Delaware. Charges: Retail theft. Location: Lowe’s, 100 block of West Township Line Road. Date: Sept. 13 at 1:20 p.m.
